What a woman Frida was.
Inspirational, a fantastic artist and incredibly brave.
I had the privilege of going to the V and A Museum this month for the curated exhibition they have in some of the rooms there,it shows a tiniest fraction of her sphere of influencers, daily belongings, clothing and costumes she designed and wore , and some exquisite art she made .
I can recommend going , you will come away with a much fuller understanding of her unique and vibrant influence on art , fashion and life that echoes down through the generations, to todays people, in 2018.
She was not just a beautiful woman and immensely talented , not afraid to be herself , a leader not a follower .
She was beyond courageous, and beyond belief ,having suffered polio, a limb amputation and a horrific accident that robbed her of parenthood amongst other things, she rose above it all ,somehow, she bore it all with wilful endurance and an absolute determination, reflected and shown in her need for creating her art , and all of that, in turn bringing to us viewers, in this 21st century a feeling of humility and being rather awestruck at this amazing lady.
Mexico must stand very proud to have her as one of its most famous daughters  x
